Need Help fix my friends car!

Hey. I am currently in Southern California so I can't help my buddy in Hayward with his subie. He did a JDM 2.0L turbo swap into his 99' outback (i think). Everything is fine and running now, but he needs a new tune because the car is going into limp mode. And the engine does not have a EGR system because it's JDM.

The thing is, he wants to install the EGR system into the engine so he has a chance at getting smogged. So the engine is going to be have to be pulled and the EGR valve/pipes are going to have to be installed. I believe the process requires some fine drilling and tapping of new threads. Is anyone in the bay area willing to help out my buddy with pulling the engine? and maybe with the EGR is possible? My buddy will pay you for the work.

I was thinking of following this thread for the EGR. What do you guys think?

Please let me know. Thanks!!

I'd consider dropping a line to the guys at LIC.

For such swaps and smog and the such, there is just no one better than LIC.

If there is a way, Adam and Noah will know. And if there's not, should have gone USDM.

QFT! And yeah, USDM is definitely the way to go in CA.
