Exclamation Need help finding a shop to do an 02 sensor repair ASAP

Hello all,

My wife's friend has a Toyota Celica that needs an 02 sensor replaced ASAP. She's trying to smog her car but she can't with the faulty sensor.

She's in San Jose, does anyone know a reputable shop that doesn't charge an arm or a leg?

She's looking to get it done tonight if at all possible.

Thanks guys,

Daniel

Probably won't be able to get her in tonight, but you might check Foreign Affair in Santa Clara. They are mainly a Honda/Acura shop, but they also have a Toyota tech there. I had previously been taking my Hondas there for over 15 years. I believe they do smog too, just not test only.

replacing an O2 sensor is pretty easy and straight forward. If you have a floor jack and Tools could be done in a matter of minutes. It does help if you have the special socket but a crescent wrench works as does an open ended box wrench, and a rubber mallet to help speed up breaking the O2 loose. I would offer to do it for cheap tonight but im already booked working on someones stuff.
