Need help with a big shipment
Alright, I am going to be shipping a tranny, drive shaft, rear diff, shift linkage, and axles alllllllllllllll the way to NY, which I am happy to do, but I just need some help doing so. Any of you out there that have shipped anything on the same level as this one will be, please let me know how you went about doing it and what might be the best way for me to get it taken care of. Thanks in advance.

Any suggestions as to which and maybe some contact info? I would love you forever.....this is giving me kind of a headache with everything else I have going on...school, moms medical issues, etc. Thanks Zoeb.

yea, that stuff will have to be put in a crate...or two. Too bad your all the way in Salinas....Trans-PAK is a custom crating/courier service, and they are in the building next door to my work.
-Ted
Edit: its www.transpak.com , but their website is not working
EDIT 2: My work also uses "G.I. Trucking" when we have to ship large shipments somewhere.

Fed-Ex freight is probably the way to go if you don't know of any near by your place.
call 866.393.4585...thats the # to fedex ground freight.

The tranny, etc. is actually here in Novato, in the North Bay...so at least its a little closer to the bigger cities. Im thinking Fed-Ex ground freight might be the way to go.

only thing is you'll have to make sure they are ready for delivery meaning they must be crated and put on a pallet.
!!!!!at the very least make sure they are secured to a GOOD pallet!!!!

Fedex have pretty good service, but just to be sure they have the lowest quote, here are other freight companies to compare quotes with
https://www.con-way.com/
http://www.dylt.com/
http://www.motorcargo.com/
and like zumnwrx, make sure you have all the stuff on the pallet wrap and ready to go. And if you don't have a forklift to put the pallet on the truck, you better tell them that too.
