Need help with AVC-R install

I have searched 3 forums. Here, NASIOC, and IWSTI. I cannot find a decent how to on installing the AVC-R. I installed my S-AFC on my last car just fine so I can follow instructions and I can solder just fine. I hate starting this kind of thread but man I have really searched. I have the ECU printout for my05 and I have the AVCR instruction manuals and I thin my ECU is down on the passengers side under the carpet. Other than that I am twiddling my thumbs Any help is appreciated any flaming is expected ;P

Right now I have an ecutek. I am getting a cobb when my green is installed @ gruppe-s so I can run a race gas map. Even when I get a cobb I will keep my avc-r as it will still beneficial.

I got this AVC-R cheap because the previous owner dropped it and it kept rebooting every time he turned it on. Upon instection of the internals I noticed the screen or daughter board was not connected snugly to the mainboard. I plugged it in all the way and I need to test it, and of course it needs to be installed fully to see if it is fixed.

I do appreciate the advice on setup componets but I am already taking the advice of someone local on what to put on my car and what not to put on my car. I really need to find a how tow or someone that doesn't mind like 50 pms while I install this thing

Correct, but where the AVC-R and the cobb differ is the gear specific settings for boost. At least that is my limited understanding of the unit so far.

ok, guess there is no help here. I guess I will be the one to take pics and do the writeup. You just think SOMEONE in the bay has installed a AVC-R and would be a little helpful......

From what it seems, the AVC-R is a big headache. http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/sea...earchid=310235

http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/sho...ighlight=AVC-R

Couldn't find any installs though, since it seems whenever someone asks, they just get told to not do it. Just out of curiosity, the local person who's recommending this to you doesn't know how to do it?
