Unhappy Need Help ASAP

Having major exhaust leak after installed GT Spec Header and Up Pipe. Leaks are coming out from everywhere, especially from the block and manifold to up-pipe gasket. Tried some other gaskets already, however, it seems they are not strong enough nor can't seal the gap good enough. Someone suggested Copper Gasket or Mr Gasket, but don't know where to get them. Any information will help. THX!

The problem probably isn't your choice of gasket material, but the installation itself. While many folks have installed up-pipes and exhaust without problems, others have had recurring leaks. I had my up-pipe professionally installed and Doug told me that the order in which bolts are torqued down is critical to a good install. Tightening the wrong ones first puts undue stress on the assembly, which can lead to exhaust leaks. Here's a link to Aaron's install of a Perrin up-pipe at Scoobymods.

I did follow the instruction that was provided by Perrin, however, it wasn't working?!

Doug (Diablo Imports) installed my UPpipe too - it leaked after about 2 months tops.

Uh, oh. The two-month mark is fast approaching for me... (keeping my fingers crossed).

p.s. - I have a Vishnu up-pipe.

I seriously doubt this has anything to do with Perrin's uppipe as mentioned previously this sounds more like a installation issue or product mismatch.

If it's a Perrin pipe I'll warranty it for you FOC. That's how sure I am of there products.

SD - Should be a non issue then for any of you having a problem with the Vishnu pipe seeing as they are only up the street I would assume that Shiv and Co would be more than happy to take care of any dissatisfied customers.

one2three - if you would like to bring your car in we would be more than happy to help even if all you want is for us to diagnose the issue for you (FOC).

First of all, I would like to thak you all for the input.

Secondly, I wanna clear up one thing very important it has nothing to do with Vishnu Up-pipe. What I have is GT-Spec Header and Up-pipe combo.

Thirdly, I was referring to Perrin's Installation Instruction and also have nothing to do with Perrin's Up-pipe. I just wish that the GT-Spec doesn't come with Up-pipe at all, so I have a good excuse to install one.

And finally, I also would like to thanks MPJ Performance for the offer. I will try it one more time before I bring it down to your shop. I did try to re-install it again today with a new crush lower up-pipe gasket. It seems the leak and wistle noise are gone. The only remaining problems are the exhaust smell and the back fire after release throttle cable.
