Need good place in Santa Cruz

I'm taking my wife out on Saturday for hER (ya happy now) birthday.
We are doing a couple of hours at the Tea House Spa in Santa Cruz, and after I want to take her to a good late lunch.

Anyone got a fav lunch spot in Santa Cruz?

The Tea House is awesome. Went there with my wife and it was raining that day. We opened the sliding glass door into the bamboo forest and you could hear the rain while in the hot tub. It was great.

What about the Tiki room, Hula's I think the name is. Hawaiian food.

I love Malabar in downtown Santa Cruz. I am not vegetarian, but my friend took me there (and did not tell me it was a vegetarian place) and I LOVED it. Soo good, and I had no idea until after we ate and he told me that it was a vegetarian place.
Really interesting dishes, nice decor/ atmosphere, and it's a nice place but you don't have to worry about getting dressed up to eat there because it's pretty laid back.

Cypress Lounge has got a really nice ambience for a late lunch, laid back cool place... Save you high end money for dinner! I love the Cypress lounge, right off of downtown (pacific ave.)

Right next to Malabar is I Love Sushi. Went there last night. Nice place. My wife raved about it but said it wasn't as good the second time. I thought it was good not as amazing as she hyped it up to be. Nice presentation though. But both places right close to the tea spas.

If you want to go down in to capitola there's a couple quality restaurants down there as well.
Stockton Bridge Grill
Paradise Sushi
Margaritaville.

There's the Cava Wine bar and right next to it a really really good small italian joint. Can't remember the name but there's like 10 tables and great food. I think its Caruso's.

That's a nice combo right there because you can hang in the wine bar and even order and eat there if you want.

Chaminade has a bar/restaurant with some killer views of the whole bay. Super good food- burgers/salads. etc. Prices are good too.

Are you vegetarian/vegan? Even if you're not, Dharma in capitola is awesome. I am in SC at least once a month getting my backpiece tattooed upon and I pretty much always go by Dharma afterward for late lunch.

Hula's downtown is good. taqueria vallarta is good but not fancy. For sushi, hands down you can't beat Rumble Fish in Scotts Valley. I don't know if they are open for lunch though but if they are and you both love sushi you wont be sorry.

If you want some where with amazing food that wont break the bank go to Avanti's on missions st. Every dish they serve is from local business minus the cheese and wine. if I could eat here everyday I would. Truly amazing.

sorry dharma's fans... the food isn't that good. not birthday worthy unless you're vegan and you hate yourself.

enjoy the day with your wifey Brett!
