I talked my folks into getting one and its been great, no one ever says "I wish I never bought that Honda, what a lemon!"
I concur, I bought an '09 and we put 32k trouble-free miles on it. If anything it's like "I have no idea where the hood release is because I have never needed to find it." Car was awesome, took it on several trips, some up to Portland through ice and snow, up to Bend several times with mountain bikes on the roof. I still have the roof rack setup come to think of that. Ha!

Great cars for sure. Sold our '09 Sport 5spd for $13k in 2010. Wish I kept it! Would see ~38-42mpg on trips, never once less than 32mpg.

The 2012 Honda Civic has a higher EPA rating for highway than the Fit.

I bought a '12 Civic LX for my dad last year to replace the 2010 Fit that got totalled. My dad and my siblings (they borrow it when they can) are all very happy with the Civic.

Got the '12 Civic LX for a little over 16k at Serramonte Honda last year, which is right about where an un-discounted Fit Sport is priced at.
