i had a rather interesting conversation with a friend today.i was talking to him about the last few pieces i need to have ED tune me on E85.my friend procceded to tell me that EQ was going out of bussiness/shutting down.he continued to tell me that he heard its because ed only caters to the subaru platform and shuns everything else.he also told me that someone hes friends with(evo owner)stopped by after hearing all the great things ed does with subies and asked about tuning.he says that a employee(wouldnt give a name or what he looked like)told him to get rid of his car for a wrx/sti if he wanted the shop to touch it.so the evo owner started telling people how bad the shop is and thats why hes going under.

then earlier today i had a blue srt4 w/2 punks make their way along side me going down peabody.the driver flipped me off,yelled **** eq tunning and subarus and took off.

i know all of this is 100% crap but i figured i would put this out there.
i hate people like this.looks like eds getting hated on because hes some damn good.

the get rid of your evo for a subaru might have been a joke taken out of context, and srt4 owners shouldnt matter to you haha...and just because ed specializes in tuning subarus and not other cars doesnt mean he is a bad business owner..

 

Weird Ed has tuned plenty of evo's. People suck and I'm glad they don't actually own Subaru's.

 

PLEASE understand, this is what i was told.
even after i hung up with him i called him back just to be 100% certain on what took place,in his words.the evo guy was pissed and just talked a bunch of **** about the shop and ED
i could care less about srt4 or any car owner that acts like that.i just wanted people to be aware that theres a small group of people acting/saying stupid crap.

 

They are just jealous they can't get tuned by one of the best. A srt-4 talking #$%@?!?! Who cares? They can't even roll down their rear windows!!!!

If the EVO guy is telling his EVO buddies not to go to Ed (who already doesn't tune evos anyway) then how will this impact Ed's business at all? Assuming that Ed's clients (the Subaru guys) know the real deal anyway, how will trash-talk in the Evo realm effect the demand of Ed's tunes?

 

if he was looking to expand to evos, it would hurt him

 

haha, funny rumor! we have evo's, srt4's, etc. stopping by the shop all the time. haters will be haters.

There is nothing odd about a shop specializing in a platform, eds not pep boys or dialaricer.com.
