Anyone going down to Laguna Seca for the midweek track day NASA is having? If you are, are you interested in caravaning? I will be heading down Tuesday night the 20th.

Sort of. I have it good enough for now. On Saturday I am getting teched and picking up all new gaskets. On Sunday I am installing all said gaskets so they will be ready for the track day.
I have also installed the brake ducts correctly so they should work properly and not be a problem.

This event was a blast! Laguna is such a fast track and the cork-screw is an awesome turn. My car is now setup near perfectly and did extremely well. The only cars that could "sort of" keep up were a Porsche Carrera 4s (newer model), and Arial Atom. With the Evo2 exhaust I could be floored passed the sound station and not have a problem at all.
I unfortunately don't have any pics, but if anyone else got any please post! :-D

I also started to melt the surface of my rotors, even with the new brake pads and brake ducts, so that I something else I need to figure out. On the plus side, all the heat cracks on the rotors have been filled in :-D. Other than that the car is good.

A Miata had a moment right in front of me on Turn 10. I slipped by him just fast enough so he didn't hit me. The Miata driver couldn't figure out how I avoided him without going off Track, which the next two drivers behind me had to do.
A 911 Turbo had all his lug nuts ripped out and lost a tire, this incident shut down the track for a while.
Backgroud: An Evo 8 was following me at the beginning of a session, we both still have cold tires. I went to hot into a corner, recover and come out. I look in my mirror and he go flying into the gravel/dirt.
I made a way late pass on an old RX-7 race car, and almost wasn't able to stop for turn 11.
