Nameless Muffler Delete vs. Mufflerless
Has anyone with a 2011+ sedan and the Nameless Axleback Muffler Delete compared it to a mufflerless setup? I'm trying to decide if it will be too loud so I'm just wondering if the overall noise level is similar to mufflerless (I know tone will be different) There are a few sound clips on youtube but it's really hard to tell when its 240p.
I don't have any other exhaust mods so I don't think it should be obnoxiously loud, just looking for a comparison before I order.

FYI. Just realize you are doing it at your own risk if you remove them.
ca. V.c. 27150 (a) every motor vehicle subject to registration shall be equipped with an adequate muffler in constant operation and properly maintained to prevent any excessive or unusual noise, and no muffler or exhaust system shall be equipped with a cutout, bypass, or similar device.

I had the nameless muffler delete on my '11 STI sedan for a bit and ran it w/o a muffler (just to hear the difference)
the sound volume and tonal quality is very identical to running w/o a axle back - the only difference was there was less of a raspy/chuffing sound as the exhaust escaped the pipes.
Overall I liked the sound of the NP Delete kit, it wasn't deep but it had a nice sound overall, definitely better than the 'hogzaust' mod or running w/o an axle back. 04GG made a good point, even the delete wouldn't be considered an 'adequate muffler' by some standards

Thanks for the input, I'll do a test run w/o mufflers just to see if it's too loud. I'm aware that I'm doing this at my own risk, but I've heard that it's not really an issue most of the time.
Maybe going with the 4" or 5" mufflers would be a better call, although they are a little more expensive.

Depends on the cops in your area. If pulled over, you will get a fix it ticket most likely, possibly sent to the REF for measurement and/or correction. Which ultimately in both cases just means you go in with mufflers on and get it signed off.

I had them custom make a 'bosozoku-ish' tip setup for me at the time, just single wall 3" tips that were closer to 8" long rather than 4" like they currently sell. Looked good and sounded good, but I wanted more depth
