I've been in 2 bad accidents with Scoobs and came out unscathed.
Once in college in my old 02 RS, hydroplaned around 50 mph into a wall, totalled, but unscathed.
Another time in college in my friends Outback wagon, we were sitting at a light when a crackhead doing 50 ignored both our presence and the read light. Drilled into the back of us and sent us flying 3/4's of a block.
Totalled as well, but we amazingly were able to drive it back to the school lot.
Not to mention several friends who have been in bad wrecks with Subarus and come out clean. Part of the reasons why I will always own one.

My cousin rolled her Legacy after hitting a patch of black ice. The back glass was broken but she and her passengers where fine. They did not have cell phone service and there where no police or other cars around to help. It wound up on its side so the group of them pushed it back onto the wheels and drove home!

I knew a co-worker of mine that went head on with a wrong way diver on 101.
Unfortunately his gf took most of the impact and fractured some facial bones.
They both survived though, unlike the wrong way driver.
this was in a 04 wagon.
