My Review of my 2007 STi
My review of my 2007, WRX STi coming from a 2.5L WRX, and a 2000 2.5RS
Wow, the days have passed like nothing… When I first got my brand new shiny 2000 2.5RS (got it in 1999) it was the car of all cars I had ever driven… It did everything to me that a good girlfriend should (Well, almost). The car gave me goose bumps after taking certain corners. I had the time of my life in that car… But with age, the car lost its edge with the competing WRX models and turbo introduction. I wanted a new WRX, but I hated the fact that it had a 2.0 engine and I wasn’t willing to budge.
As the year 2006 came, the new 2.5L WRX was on the market and it go me all happy and giddy just like my good old RS used to do to me… Finally somehow I managed to get my hands on a beautiful black TR model (which is exactly what I like NOTHING), I drove the thing and just never let go. As I drove it daily I noticed that it was a lot bigger, not just a little bigger, A LOT bigger which didn’t make me happy, but I had all that new HP and stuff and it was great? Right? Well, I lied to myself to believe that the old WRX was so far superior to my RS, but it wasn’t… The RS had everything but a turbo… It was light, agile and just lacked that damn turbo that SOA didn’t give us! As much Loved drive my WRX, it was big and sloppy compared to the RS, but the WRX had waaay more power then the RS… So it was a trade off I guess… So I dealt with It… Then one night while out driving I swerved away from 3 deer and hit a tree… WRX = car heaven
Then I find a used 2007 STi with only 11k miles
So I pick it up, and it has its small issues (like the ic swap) but once I got a hold of her I made sure everything was a go, HOLY ROCKETSHIP BATMAT!!! This car is amazing from every aspect… It’s the RS I Wanted but with a turbo! Its been welded to feel like its one piece, cornering is cake, acceleration is almost violent with a cat back… Its just everything I’ve ever wanted
And that's that

Congrats on the car. As 6 months pass of owning my first Subaru, I still have my moments of "damn I can't believe I have a STi". It's an amazing car and everything I expected it would be.
Seeee, glad to hear your not regreting getting the STi over the Evo!! u had me scared u were switching over to the darkside.. Congrats on the STizzle, u have me doubting whether to fix up my bugeye or just upgrade to an STi
