My neighbor is a doctor. Young guy. Moved to our area of town just a few months ago. Nice guy though.
Lately, myself and my neighbors have been having more and more spiders in our houses. Wierd, scary looking spiders too. Not too aggressive, but they don't look like normal spiders, such as black widows, wolfs or whatever. Usually, you see one, squish it and it's all good.
My doctor neighbor hasn't been as lucky. He's had a TON of spiders in his house. In fact, it's been REALLY bad. He was out in his barn today and apparently he found a HUGE nest of spiders, with one gaurding the whole thing. It was ginormous. Apparently, this spider was pretty aggressive and jumped at my neighbor, who is TERRIFIED of spiders. Well, I guess this spider kept coming after my neighbor and he wasn't able to get out of the barn for whatever reason. He said he thinks he knocked something over or he was just too afraid.
Somehow, the neighbor was able to get some chemicals in his bar, and using the lighter in his pocket, he was able to catch the spider on fire. Of course, the little bastard starts running around and catches the hay and other stuff in the barn on fire. Luckily, the doctor got out of there before it was too late, but his barn is burnt to the ground
The cops called in some exterminators to look at the barn to see if they could figure out what the spider was (like type or whatever) but they probably won't find much since the whole place burned to the ground.

I think it must be spider season for all of us! My wife and I have seen some pretty huge spiders in our garage. I'm talking big, furry, fast spiders that don't make webs, they just run around on the ground.
Our house is in a newer development and whenever another new house is being built, I think the ground is disturbed and the spiders look for another place to hang out. I thought about using the fire method too, but I was too afraid of catching our house of fire. One time I took a big broom and scared one onto a sticky trap (one of those pieces of cardboard sticky stuff on one side meant for catching small mice). It was hella pissed to be stuck on that trap!
