From wiki:

Jägermeister’s ingredients include 56 herbs, fruits, roots, and spices including citrus peel, liquorice, anise, poppy seeds, saffron, ginger, juniper berries, and ginseng.[5] These ingredients are ground, then steeped in water and alcohol for 2–3 days. Afterwards, this mixture is filtered and stored in oak barrels for about a year. When a year has passed, the liqueur is filtered again, then mixed with sugar, caramel, alcohol, and water.
Maybe this is why...

jager is the nastiest **** in the world, the only thing it has going for it is its alcoholic,

Haha... Yes. That's exactly what I'm saying.

And as kids, I know we loved the stuff (the treats). Something in our genes likes it. Our grandparents, uncles/aunts, parents, etc would bring packages and everyone would get excited.

This is why I never understood why non-asians talked about Jagermeister like it grew hair on your *****. To me, it's an EASY drink. ;P

Though I haven't had those treats in years I recall them being nice and sweet and tasty like a treat should be whereas Jager... ugh I can't stand the stuff.

I'd rather eat a bag of the preserved plums than taking more than a shot of Jager.

Black licorice or cough syrup. I don't like to drink cough syrup when I don't have to.
