My Gruppe-S Experience (8/5/2006)

Driving along Skyline a few weeks ago I went through a massive pothole (the holes on that road are insane in places), my 18" rims and dropped springs have a pretty harsh ride, and it turned out that I bent my suspension control arm and broke my Helix endlink....I've had those endlinks for nearly a year and have been to the track with them 3 times so I figured I'd need to buy a new set.

Gruppe-S supply and fit everything on my car, so I took it this morning for them to take a look at since it was making all kinds of clunking and banging noises and they confirmed I needed a new set of endlinks. They fitted them in less than 30 minutes (that Tommy guy can really wrench), and when I asked how much I owed them for the new endlinks Mike said "nothing, they're covered under warranty".

So even though I regularly track my car, and even though it was a combination of a huge pot-hole and my driving that broke the endlink, they were replaced free of charge with no questions asked.

That's what I like about this shop....they do good work and stand by their work and by their products.

+1 for Mike, Tommy and Gruppe-S...I'll see you soon for my coilovers.

Being as I take my car to different racetracks, I assumed that my warranty would be voided, I bang up and down those kerbs and try and use the whole width of the track... It says a lot for Helix parts that they still replaced them under warranty.

Theres a lot of more expensive parts out there than Helix, but Gruppe-S runs 3 race cars and their Helix parts get a thorough testing and have earned themselves a great reputation...same with Rota wheels....they can get beaten on week after week and still stand up to the punishment....

With the high quality of low cost parts like Helix and Rota it's making it affordable for me to run an everyday commuter car that will take a good track beating every month or so.
