My car got broken in!!!
Yes i have been parking in the street ever since i moved up to the East Bay area for 11 weeks now, and Monday morning i noticed my Garmin GPS was gone!! No broken window and nothing else was stolen (Cobb AP, CDs), so I guess that is a plus!! but still i think some other car's stereo got stolen too just across the street not long ago!! Hate this happened!!! but.....oh well just need to vent it out and tell everyone to watch out their car when park on the street!!!
PS I am in the market for a new GPS now anyone know of any good deals around....please let me know or give me some advice which one to get!!

so... if the neighborhood is not the "nicest" ... why did you leave your GPS visible? Frankly, if I'm parking on the street in Oakland, I leave NOTHING visible. There's no sense in attracting thieves by leaving high-value items like a GPS visible.
Sucks, but you gotta be more careful.

I litterally have NOTHING in my car.. and people tried to break in. having things in the car sure does increase the chances of a breakin,.. but even if you don't have anything... they'll try to break in for the fun of it or just to steal your car. if your car looks nice. that's enough excuse for them to want to break in. That's the down side of having a nice car because all of a sudden, there's a bunch of haters lookin for you.

Yeah it sure sucked but i wanted an excuse to get a new GPS with touch screen anyways so it sure is money i wasn't plan on spending at this time but it guess it happens. i am just glad that i don't need to bring my car to the shop and get a window replace or have to get a rental cuz my car is gone....
anyways i did look into the tomtom unit but i am more toward the Garmin 2610 at this time plus it's cheaper than tomtom on ebay so.....
