Not really. Their talking about a driver. Seems most of them know what an STi can do.

 

Damn punk STI kids. Just makes the rest of the subie community look bad.

 

Someone kept doing that to me, I'd block him, wait till he gets back in the right lane, and stomp the brakes, then claim my neck hurt.. ****er.

Last night I saw this stupid *** on a cellphone change lanes from the STOPPED left lane into 15-20mph traffic in the middle lane of Millbrae Avenue. Bigass van tried to stop but ended up getting sideswiped. I stopped and gave the van guy my card, because just looking at the damage it sorta looked like the van rear ended him.

Stupid drivers die.

 

Sounds like he should be driving an SRT-4, not an STI. There's some moron kid that tries to race everybody in my area. He'll see a little old lady in a wrx and he'll pull up and rev his engine.

 

I think they're just talking smack about the driver.. not the actual car (only the fact that he DRIVES an STi--not in a bad way)

 

It's a thread about people talking smack about an STi driver, not an STi in general. I only skimmed through one page of that thread and clearly everyone else was just talking about how to deal with the driver that was always tail gating the man who started the thread. Not the car itself. So don't get your drawls in a bunch over some Mustang owners. Only one guy suggested that he'd smoke 'em, then everyone else had to tell him that an STi is faster. At least they're aware of the facts. If it were a Cobra or a Saleen, then it's a different ball game here.

I really think people should stop it with the, "OMG THEY'RE TALKING SH*T ABOUT OUR SUBARUS!" The real enemies are the jackass Subaru owners who make a fool of themselves and make the rest of us look bad. Besides, more WRX's and STi's are popping up, so some people are unwilling to give into the hype because they just are denying that their cars have some competition at the track now. =)

 

funny part of that thread is talking about retard boy over on nasioc and his "throttle sticking house destruction ways" haaaa... that thread is famous.

 

As with any forum there seems to be a few asshats there, but nothing out of the ordinary. Some know of the STi, some don't, some are ignorant, some aren't, it's just the way it goes.

Sad to say , the newest gen GT is going to be a formidable foe, and will probably grow some more attention being as it can finally handle like a real car, comes with enough ponies out of the box to be interesting, and it's build quality is MUCH better than previous gen, not to mention it's a sexy biatch again. There's a nipplehead down the street from me that just got one, I asked "is it pretty quick?" he replied "faster than yours" I was going to get in on how ugly his wife was but decided he already had to live with it so I just left.

typical mustang reply. I used to love wooping on them back in the civic driving days. Now..for the most part..they leave me alone. But with the new gen I see it coming back again...boooo.

Reading that thread was refreshing. I was expecting a bunch of import haters
making false assumptions about all Subaru owners based on the actions of
just a few. It was nice to see that most people were talking about 1) the
driver is the problem, and did not make any assumption about owners
of certain types of cars, and 2) that the STi is faster than this guys car.

There are a-holes who drive Mustangs. There are a-holes who drive Subarus.
They were both a-holes before they got the car.
