Multi-tools that are allowed on airplanes?
I flew out of Oakland with five box cutters in my bag once.
I work in the Grocery industry and I had forgotten they were in there... That's enough to equip an entire terrorist assault team!

Forgot I had my small tool case and my leatherman in my backpack coming home from SEMA. Well that got fun going through the X-ray machine.
They let me keep the tool case & most of its contents. I had to give up the ratcheting bit driver, and my leatherman...but not the phillips or slotted full size screwdrivers.
Basically the ratcheting bit driver in its extended position was over 7" or 8", and that was a No-No, and obviously the leatherman had a few different kinds of blades on there. I was like "Really?" on the bit driver because its barely dangerous as a blunt object whereas anyone who's seen a prison movie knows you can do some damage with a screwdriver. He was like "I agree, but sorry the rules are the rules'. I wasn't gonna make a scene since I am brown and Vegas ain't as liberal as you'd think.
