My hip-hop mix tape vol. 1.5 (okay, so it's just my selection of MP3'd songs I got) dropping this weekend. So far Cal and a couple others wanted a copy. I'll bring a couple extra just in case someone else wants a free CD. Cal has the first one I made, I totally forgot what cuts are on that one, so I'm remaking it and calling it 1.5 cuz a few tracks might be repeated from the 1st.

It's likely going to feature:
Keith Murray
Freeway
Joe Budden
Hieroglyphics
Blackalicious
Drunken Tiger
Supernatural
Nas
Big L
Notorious BIG
Wu-Tang Clan
The Roots
Canibus
Skillz
Mos Def
Talib Kweli
Mobb Deep
50 Cent

....and more. It's just a CD of some mainstream stuff, underground tracks, obscure tracks, album tracks that aren't played on the radio, and unreleased material that's floatin' around the net. Haha. It'll be the only mix tape you'll ever hear without some moron screaming in the background like DJ Kay Slay, DJ Clue, DJ Whoo Kid, or DJ Green Lantern.

I had to read that twice. In the middle of all that, sure enough, there's Drunken Tiger. I've never seen them slip into somebody else's playlist. Nice.

The Blood Brothers, Labrats, Thrice, Poison the Well, Atreyu, Scattered Fall, Thought Crime, From Autumn to Ashes, Radiohead, Glassjaw, RATM, Dance Disaster.... I dunno. With an iPod, a lot of things are possible. Of course, if the girlfirned is with me I'll probably have to listen to some poppy stuff as well, though.

Sorta...but they sampled off "Black Connection" by Camp Lo on that cut. I have both tracks.

Have you heard the new Blood Brothers? I LOVE IT.
Dance Disaster? ... or Dance Disaster Movement? I saw them at this art cafe that I used to volunteer at down in Orange County, and they put on a good show, but their music isn't hot :/
The latest Red Light Sting owns me though. Check it out if you already haven't
