I said that you need to keep the color down to 1 or 2 at most. Also that the observatory didn't match well with the surroundings being so white, and that having it be a grey or something might work better.

I got an idea! I'll post it up in a day or two Its fairly simple but I don't wanna reveal details...hah.

 

I thought how this contest works is to submit a design that's finalized and people bring their A game. It's hard to choose one if someone's like, "oh well, if I'm hired, then I'll fix that." I'm not trying to be a d*ck about it, but how are people going to vote that way if something's partially done? I want to see peoples' stuff to the best of their abilities just like everyone else so I can make a proper vote. Your design's lookin' good, at least try to implement a bit of the suggestions if you can find the time instead of giving up like that and waiting to be chosen. =) Now to nitpick just a tad, the lines on the observatory don't look as clean as the other vector art. This was done in Photoshop right? Photoshop's the enemy of vector lines that aren't straight vertical or horizontal, so they just ruin 'em and make them look pixelated because it's not a proper vectoring program. That's what I think happened with the design last year. =/

Of course, Owlboogie is an exception though cuz he's designed almost every single Impreza shirt I've worn. LOL

 

1 looks too much like a modded last years design, 2 looks pretty good minus the gradient.

well i was just informed of the 2-3 color minimum yesturday.Im fairly new so when this thread came up i asked if there were any guidlines or rules that we had to follow, but no one said anything. ill try to fix it up before the deadline, but i dont think it will have the same effect without the color gradient. i might just make everthing red.

 

I personally like Flipmode's design, it's pretty good.

Try making the different variations, one red, one yellow,etc. that's what I'm doin on one that I'm working on now.
