Hey.

So far I'm planning on bbq'ing:

1. Montreal Tri Tip Steaks
2. Boneless/skinless chicken thighs (possibly some breasts too depending on demand... but they are a bit more expensive)
3. BBQ Chicken drumsticks
4. Vegetarian option:::: ??? Need input
(This is not including sides, which is going to be macaroni salad, corn, bears, garlic bread, and whatever else Costco has... feel free to throw out suggestions)


As for drinks,

1. Lots of bottled water
2. Lots of Soda (Coke, Pepsi products)
3. Beer... Not sure how much beer Im going to pick up... depends on the fundage. But I was thinking of getting some light beers (like bud and stuff), as well as some darker beers, like stout sam adams, etc... (Whatever costco has... hahah). Suggestions are welcome.


And so you all know, I'll have a table set up at the enterence of the rented area... I'll have names of people and guests... name tags. If you haven't paid me yet, you can do so there... EVERYONE MUST CHECK IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a semi-good idea. If someone had a camera (digi) and wanted to take pics of every member as they registered and we can have them on file here so when you dont know who someone is, you look at their photo and say "Ooooh, that guy!". ; ) I think its a good idea... what do you think?

Oh yeah, and if I can talk my friend into it, we might have a massuse (spelling?!). She's really cute, and gives killer massages. But yeah... thats not concrete yet.

If any of you have any ideas about games, etc that you can think of, please suggest them.

I'm hoping that we can get a raffle going... we'll see about that however.

Anyway, let me know what you guys think about that.

i would be down to do it.... but my camera is only 3 megapixels (nikon coolpix 995). does that matter? unless someone out there who has a better camera wants to.

Food choices - I'm not picky. Prefer Pepsi and water over other stuff. Beer - I don't care. I can always BMOB or some other liquor.
I like this idea better than taking everyone's pic as they sign in. Name tags should suffice unless you have absolute control over where the pics may end up.

Only 3 megapixle!??!? Damn man, thats like 2.8 more megapixle than I have! hahha... Yeah, that would be TOTALLY sufficient. If you'd like to sit down with me for the first hour while everyone showed up, you're more than welcome to, and I'd appreciate it! It'd be good for the n00bs in particular... since they don't meet us very often.


Alan, Yeah, there will be all sorts of drinks... more water than anything, but we'll have a lot of sodas anyhow. I figure 300 people, 4 beverages per person (on average), would be 1200 drinks. I should buy some extra because I know its gonna be WARM. Maybe the moderators could do a round of shots together... hahah, hell yeah, that sounds like a plan. Me, you, Alex, Aaron, and Kevin...

I ramble a lot, so I'll stop.

 

Everything sounds like it will be fine, nametags should be okay dunno if pics are necessary but still not a bad idea.

 

im stil unsure if i will go (havent paypaled you) but if i do i could help out with the photo taking... as the time apprroaches ill see if i am able to make it.

I have a good idea too, lock everyone's avatar to their pic, as taken at that meet.

It will give everyone incentive to come next year...and make all the other chapters jealous.
