lol nice someone can take my place then! I'm just leaving for the Air Force in a few days. Be sure to check out the local fairfield meet as there's alot of great folks there active duty, reserve, and retired as well. It's funny how the folks at this meet are either military, police officers, emt/medic, or something to do with the community like this.

vallejo is ghetro. My moms friend who came back from the military got off the bus there and some guys robbed him. He gave his **** up right away and they let him go, then once his back was turned they opened up fire on him. Pretty lame ****. Be careful!

 

Yeah it is pretty Fing sad. All the crack head F-ups from oakland, richmond, etc. are moving more towards vallejo(even though they're pretty F'd up anyways there) fairfield, and suisun. I'm just glad I'm moving completely out of the area because I just can't tolerate it here anymore due to all this BS & I've lived here all my life.

yeah vallejo has always been pretty ******* ghetto. The cops ride 4 deep there at night in certain areas. Hence all the gangster rappers to come from that area lolol. Definitely not a good place to hang out by yourself at night.

but def as far as i can tell oakland/sf/richmond/vallejo/fairfield and even other cities pretty much band into one large group of crazy mother****ers

Hook yourself up with the GI Bill at a junior college near by. That extra cash should help you out.

i was Navy too and came back with nothing but bills...make sure and get your 6months of unemployment and tap into that GI money because the cost of living here would have you in a mansion in SC i was in Hawaii before i came home so it wasnt as big of a shock but still a very tough readjustment

ya and the new GI bill pays for BAH too! i might be going back for my BA since i heard about that.
you can go to tech school but if you are on CH30 GI it just pays monthly and tech school is usually more than it pays monthly but like superglue said, go to a JC and cash those checks until you can get on your feet...pick some easy *** AA path and take the $$
