Motorola SLVR L7, Good or Bad?

I will be making a jump from Verizon Wireless to Cingular end of this month. 2 reasons... 1) I get no signal at work while all my co-workers with Cingular do. 2) I get corporate discount.

I've narrowed down to Motorola SLVR L7. Does anyone here in the bay have this phone and have something bad to say about it?

oh, and does anyone one know for sure if Amazon has all the accessories as well?
http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-SLVR-...&s=electronics

When I looked at it from Cingular it has all the stuff like travel charger, usb data cable, sterero headset, 512mb card, and 3.5mm adaptor.

The L7 actually gets terrible reviews for speed and stability. Just like the 1st revision RAZR, all style no substance.

I like mine, Ive gotten the white screen of death only twice in the 6+ months I've had it

I have no idea what the 3.5mm adapter is but mine came with the wall charger, memory card (512), data cable (usb), and the stereo headset which is ear bud headphones with a microphone too

pictures are decent quality for a camera phone

I've got the Sprint version (just released) the L7c, and I am really happy with the phone. All the first generation woes of the Cingular SLVR L7 aren't present.

Personally, I was just happy to have a non-flip phone on Sprint. It's been a long time, and ever since I switched to Sprint I've been annoyed that the only choices were flip phones. Every flip phone I've ever had scratches the hell out of the screen by its own buttons.

mine has a few dings but really not as many as youd expect from being in my pockets most of the time and loosing traction around corners faster than the car does....and the screen is just fine.

what were the problems with the cingular ones?

I didn't have one, so I can't comment directly, but I remember most people complaining about slow and buggy menus. Most likely already fixed with firmware updates.

Mmm...sandwedge.

But seriously, I think the L7 is great. It's very thin. You can just get a screen protector or a plastic case for it if you wish.

It's basically a normal phone with normal features + camera. You won't really find anything special, but the coverage is excellent with Cingular IMO.

yeah, scratching the screen is one concern... but i was also thinking of getting a belt case or something like this...

http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-Cryst...TF8&s=wireless

yeah, i know that kind of defets the purpose f having a 'thin' phone. but what the heck.

does yours still have that "slow" and "instability" issues? Or did the firmware upgrade take care of that?

There is no way I would stay with verzion because wherever I can't get signal, my friends with cingular/att can. I still remeber few years back where a deer hit my car (that's right, that damn thing hit ME!), I was stuck up in Eureka and only psoper had signal, and he has/had att...

On top of that, how can i say no to 18% off of my monthly bill!

Thanks for the inputs!
