no i havent, unfortunatly. i dunno though, mos def is cool, especially when he works with other artists, but when he does a solo cd...

id rather listen to the beach boys and paul mcartney (sp??) than listen to the modern 'rap'

Yeah Blackstar is sick...I was supposed to see them all together at a show...but Talib was so late they just performed seperatly...still excellent, but not quite what I had expected.

anyone know who else is playing along with mos def? Also lyrics born is playing next week in sac, and calicom is tonight in sac, too bad i'm not in davis to go tonight

i might go, i just have to decide on lyrics born or mos def. i'd rather see lyrics born, but his live performances are kind of lacking. 30 bucks is a lot too for mos def

not sure who else is performing...i left the flyer in my apartment. mostly local artists and dj's i think...at space 550 i only remember seein JahYzer and I-vier.

Mos Def's new album is a must listen...a lot of rock influence in it but its different so i like it. its a definite progression from his old albums and thats the way hip hop is suppose to be
