More Warrior News

Warriors just traded Bob Sura for Clifford Robinson and a guard named Pepe Sanchez or something.

We now have a Pepe, a Speedy, and a Popeye.

Look for Eric Dampier to be traded soon, real soon...this isn't a rumor.

I think this Sura trade is insurance for Dunleavy not playing the way he should this year. With Nick, SPeedy, Jrich and the french guy there are plenty of guards. though Sura was real nice coming off the bench and giving them some good D.

he was ticketed for over $6million this season...think 6.17 or some crap.

But this was the last season.

St. Jean is a fool. Both van exel and cliff are under contract for two more years. Cliff is $10million.

I just checked the paper...the 6.17 is right and the 10 mill is right. Doesn't say van exel's but it is 2 years.

Basically they are saying that the warriors are gonna tank this year so they can be force in the free agent market in 2005 and resign Richardson (their ticket seller) and murphy.

Same old...I think we can be competitive junk. More likely they are gonna pull a freakin san antonio and suck for a shot at the top 3 spots in the draft.

I mean with murphy on the floor with richardson and van exel at the point...that isn't too bad....if van exel can penetrate and dish to get murphy some 15 footer they could be deadly....especially if richardson has been in the gym all off season learning how to shoot the rock...I could put that dude to shame beyond 12 feet last season. But the issue is this......cliff is a defender and might give them 14 points a game tops if he plays full time....I'd say closer to 10 he's on his way down.

Van exel doesn't want to play for the warriors and he has a history of being a whiner...he doesn't want to play he won't...he will do it for himself..shoot like mad. Bad for the warriors.

They got a good small forward/shooting guard in big slim dunleavy but he can't play defense....slow feet. And they got no solid center still so teams like the lakers and san antonio are gonna own them with no arenas to carry them.

least we will have some sick dunks to look at.

sura is a good guy, and has really solid D, but after Arenas was gone and they drafted the french guy, then Saint said that Sura would be alternating at point (???), you had to know that they would toss Sura...

Look at it this way, who would you rather have, Jamison & $$$ for 6 more years, or Cliffie for 2yrs? Sure Antwaan could score, but he was soft! Plus he never ate at my old restaurant, even though he would shop for CDs & DVDs at Tower in Dublin (****!).

They have another log jam situation and there are gonna be some pissed players cause there aren't enough minutes for those guys.

That french guy sucks...he's basically brought in to fill sura's roll with less talent and less heart. Sura was making too much money so yeah trade him...trade jamison....but they should have kept arenas if they knew they were gonna do that.

Speedy is a true point...van exel will start....when jrich comes out van exel will shift to the 2 and speedy will be 1. There will be a lot of 3 guard sets for the warriors this year...just like last year.

Dunleavy did fine last year....I just think they expected too much out of him...he wasn't a number 3 pick guy....it was the only flaw in their draft...could have done way better....way way better for what they needed....he was a 15 to 18 pick. He played fine and is doing exactly what I expected out of him....he is a tweener..like jamison...needs the right system...he needs the bucks or utah...maybe the nuggets or the lakers. He would be sick playing the roll of horry if he could get better on the d end.

Basically....they need to make a few more moves and they might do o.k.

Still pissed over arenas and jamison though. One or the other...o.k. both...that's almost....not almost but kinda like richmond and hardaway...why both? Freakin morons in that office.

a lot of those guys live out in that area.

I used to play ball all the time at club sport and central park. Great games...we'd get some really sick games going with generally a pro on each side....got to play with some great guys...joe smith, mullin, hardaway.
Too bad I got fat and lazy and stopped balling...for a short white boy I did alright.

Used to run games with my friend tim and central park...it used to take us a while to get on a team...him 5 foot 7ish and me a shade over 5 foot 10. Both silly looking white dudes......once game I bricked a 10 footer and tim dunked over two guys...yes he was that ill...set like 10 state track records in maryland...major stud. After that and me throwing one down we got to play pretty regularly....I'd show up at 7 ish and run til around 4am. I miss that place.

oh and you're right jamison was mad soft. Pissed me off because he has so much talent....with more desire he easily could have been a c webb type of force. His post moves are some of the best in the game still....just no heart. Kinda like his brethren....vince carter....

haaaa...only somewhat...st. Jean signs the papers.

I once threw a racket ball at mully....

I was a freshman in highschool and asked for his autograph...he scribbled on my card and tossed it on the ground and walked away...I says...you punk and threw my racket ball at him. Why...I have no idea. Ill temper I guess.

I ended up seeing him after the game...we played before the warriors on their court. Then I started playing with him at club sport every now and again....turns out he is a really cool guy with a hot temper...I told him the racket ball story...he laughed...good times...he didn't even know I did it...I missed. I still have that card somewhere...was an upper deck...the gold trim one....haaaaa....was worth like a buck at the time....haaa.

I love that guy.

I've played with Terrell Owens a couple times at 24hr. fitness in S.R. He ***** MAD!

I used to ball at Central a lot, until the wee hours, the last 4yrs or so as well. Bone bruises in my knees from my big fat frame running & jumping around on concrete, coupled with lighting issues, and decrepit hoops, has me not there for months...

So many of these pro sports guys are around here, at the restaurant, Tyrone Wheatley, Greg Clark, Brent Jones, and Rick Mirer used to come by all the time. Wheatly has like 8 kids!!!

Don't blame Saint, sure he's an idiot, and Mullin isn't GM YET...

The man to blame is the one who owns/ruins the team.

Chris Cohan!

Ever since he bought the team, it has gone downhill....remember the Oakland All-Star Game? was it 2k?? The crowd boohed him, with his son next to him, in front of MJ.....the warriors fans hate him, and they will never like him.....unless, by miracle, they win a championship...
