Sooo useless in terms of application. With flashy moves like this, I always question at what point does it become a dance instead of martial arts...

I fully agree with you..when someone is doing those flipping kicks and flying in the air all you have to do is push them and they usually fall. I took martial arts for many years and I know from real and ring fighting that fancy flying in the air kicks leave you WIDE open. It's more for show than actual self defense. Just my opinion. Sure looks cool though to see someone doing all thos spins and flips. Very similar to gymnastics.
