Moon Cake is AWESOME! we buy a box.. and finish it before the date actually arrives.. so we buy another.. and then finish that before the data arrives. we go through 3 boxes in a month. and if you think the $20 for 4 prices here are expensive.. i read an article in the LA times (when i lived in socal) and they have crazy moon cakes that cost like $100-500.. EACH. they even had a hello kitty mooncake! the ones i had in socal from the taiwanese plaza's were more jellylike. i wasnt too down with those.

Haha, moon cake is fattening as hell
Thank God it's only once a year!
I like the ones with lotus paste or red bean, but I can't stand the salty egg yolk
I think I'll see about procuring a box for la familia....

okay, i literally just sampled the following flavors: Red Bean, Green Tea, Pineapple, Lotus Seed Paste, and can't remember the other one. I have to say that the Green Tea and Pineapple Moon Cakes were very satisfying...I had them with some Oolong tea and the flavors complimented each other well. infact, i think I'm going to head back to our upstairs board room and steal a couple more (unless they're really expensive then I'd feel bad).
