Well i never drove a stock GR but from what my friend tells me and from what I felt in the 2011, they feel gutless? The handling was smooth and the steering wheel had little to no play in it. The drive was comfy but it just didnt feel like a STi. Idk maybe i just go too use to my 04 STi

^ I think the new STIs have a smoother power delivery than the older STIs.

yeah me too, drove an 09 and really didnt blow me away at all. this is the eighth model year we've had the STI here in the US and its basically the same engine/drivetrain since my 04 with minor tweaks since then, hell isnt only rated at like 5-10hp more than the ST I bought back in 03? Just figured with how much other cars performance has gone through the roof in the last 8 years that we would still be leading the charge. Maybe they're waiting for the new motor

hehe go test drive 1 yourself . Since im young, i just rolled up in my car and as soon as i got out, a sales person came to me. I told some lie about wanting to upgrade to a newer model and they let me test drive. It was a nice Black maybe OBP? Funny thing is that the sales person showed and told me about how "Spacious" the trunk is LOL

perhaps you test drove it in the I setting instead of sport sharp? besides i'd be shocked that the sales guy would even let your romp on it...

We had a 2011 STI and a 2011 WRX stop by here on Saturday. They'll both be back for baseline dyno pulls this week
