Well, they are going to take a 750hp CART champ car and turn it into a road line painter, for center lines and stuff.
No word on if they have to be able to vary the spray to account for double yellows, dotted yellows, half-dotted yellows, etc...

that is the stupidest f*cking thing i've ever heard.
an indy car is a machine that has been purpose-built for one thing and one thing only: to get around a racetrack faster than just about anything else. the idea of taking one of these machines and defacing it so that it can paint lines on the road once, and then be ruined forever is quite possibly the most horrible idea i've ever heard.
they might as well make that very same indy car and modify it so that it jams a two by four up your *** while you're driving it. at least that way someone will benefit from the design. that being jesse james of course. what a tool.

They're not using a car thats been running, most likely a retired car. With that said i have to ask: "how hard can it be?" a street line painter as i remembered it was a truck with the line painter hardware on it. Its not a waste as much as it is a pointless practice, they should do something like try to make it into a closed-wheel salt flat racer that'll go one run be die, the way its supposed to go
