Mind Games & Puzzles: April Fools' Gimmick Rallye

The 43rd Annual April Fool's Day Gimmick Rallye is coming up on Sunday April 1st. If you're into mind bending puzzles while driving back roads in the countryside then check out this link.

I know some of you here have done this rallye in the past. Hope to see more of you there!

Jane

Oh, I thought they put up crazy mind trick signs or something. Why didn't he just say there's a cross word puzzle involved?

There's no crossworld puzzles involved. The instructions through the route are clear, but there are two parts, an A and a B part. An example might be

10. A. Left at "3rd St"
B. Left at "Third Street"

You know where you are going to turn, but until you get there and look for signs you don't know which part is correct. Also if both signs are there both parts valid you mark choice C on your scoresheet.

Also there will be gimmicks in the event general instructions. If your told 'Smith road does not exist' in the GIs, and your route instruction is 'Right at second intersection' if the first is Smith you would not count it and go to the third. There's a short sample rallye at http://www.empiresportscar.org

The route is always great too!
