Yeah if your car is a manual you have to bypass the clutch to use remote start and you gotta remember to park the car in neutral. As for the Viper alarm, Best Buy carries them and you could pay for installation and labor fees, but they do crimp work. If you prefer soldered wires then go to Circuit City. Easiest way to go. Unless you're looking for a specialized alarm installer then I have no idea.

its not liably safe for circuit city to install it without a sensor. if you start the car in gear and it shoots forward and causes damage or harms someone, they could get sued. my cousin installs alarms the professional way, but if you want it installed without the sensor, he can do it easily. pm me if you want me to get a hold of him for you.

Only if the remote start states that it's only for an automatic, otherwise it is legal.

*edit* When I bought my car Subaru tried to sell me their aftermarket pos alarm system with remote start. That was their selling point...good thing I know about alarms and installs. The fiance is a professional installer.

some retailers will install it only after you sign a waiver stating that you know you may cause harm by starting your car in gear, and that they aren't liable yada yada yada.

Off topic. Does anyone know where I can get a remote programmed to an alarm already installed? I have an old Integra which has only 1 remote working, and I am a noob with alarms. Thanks!
