no asian cars. i got a friend that would keep my 944 up and running at a fraction of the cost (my neighbor down the block) he has the same car too,and as i speak he is probably underit puttin on his coilovers gettin ready for auto cross. anything with a turbo can be made fast. 0-60 stock is 6.1 sec not bad fora car that came out 15 yrs ago. add a chip intake and exhaust and itll be as fast as the suby at a fraction of the cost. jokes aside what other cars beside the datsun?

No Japanese huh?!?! Hmmmm....a Turbo Sprint would be kinda cool. Dont see too many hot hatches like that anymore. I love the stylings of the Corrado, but not too fond of FF cars (VW is kinda Porche if thats your thing).

Personally, I would go for an E30 BMW 3 series. Cant get an E30 M3 for the $7K, but a 325is would be a sweet ride. Speaking of BMW, I like the BMW 2002, kinda 510 german style. Or even an old 320i (my girlfriend used to have one, it's a pretty fun ride, but nothing amazing).

Porche are fairly expensive to maintain, but the 944 isn't the hardest car to work on, so you could do a lot of the work yourself. I personally like the 914 better (MR cars...mmmm goood), but getting a 914 2liter or 6cylender is hard with only $7k.

Speaking of MR cars, maybe an Pontiac Fiero....before you laugh....there's a company that will drop a v8 behind the drivers seat for ya.
