I just went to traffic court for a speeding ticket I got back in October on 17. My name got called and before I said anything the judge says "I have a motion from the CHP to dismiss this case. I don't suppose you have a problem with that?" "Uh, no". "Citation dismissed".
Boo-ya. Turns out the officer was no longer with the San Jose CHP. Just goes to show that you should keep pursuing these things. I almost threw in the towel after my trial by declaration-- glad I didn't.
