Yup, I concur. I lived in the UK for a little over 2 years and damn, just read me the phone book - don't stop talking.
Can't speak about the pooper, but really what I found is that guys over there don't exactly treat the ladies very nice in general, so if you DO, and do a few er.. nice things for them, well, it comes back to you tenfold.
My wife is Swedish but speaks perfect English. I try to get her to toss in the accent but she just won't do it.

yea, knowing the history between those two would help.
not sure if watching more Top Gear is going to explain much between Schumacher and Hakkinen.
