Its a luxury and today no one has money for luxuries. Besides, with torrents and such no one is even buying music, much less paying to listen to the radio.

I didnt have satellite radio, but it seemed to be a good option for a lot of people... Sucks that they are going under.

I always thought that Satellite radio was kida over rated. especially with such awesome FM stations like Live 105

Maybe I'm just frugal but I never could bring myself to pay for radio... haha unless I moved somewhere and needed a means to listen to Giants games. Even then it wouldn't be the same without Kruk and Kuip.

You live in TX? I'm gonna drift OT for a second, but lets say someone moved to any the border towns for work, how far are you talking to get anywhere where there is decent shopping and stuff, ie: Whole Foods, Safeway(big grocery store), etc.?

Please god, tell me you're kidding?!

satellite radio kicks the living CRAP out of regular radio, especially commercial ridden stations as live 105, etc... Not to mention the poor quality data.

I shouldnt bad mouth live 105 tho, in my teen years I won a really nice mountain bike, and lots of concert tickets... But then I grew up and MP3 came into the mainstream which made radio on par with cassettes.

Unfortunately I haven't really listened to the radio in the past two years... right about the time I got a new stereo and a iPod connector.

I had sirius for only a couple months, and i noticed that one of my favorite stations would repeat the exact same broadcast every weekend....

Then I bought my AVIC D3, canceled sirius, and burned a dual layer DVD with all of my favorite music. this was much better than having the sat radio.
