Reminds me of that Indiana Jones scene. Now I think about it, I don't believe it was an actual ninja he shot but more like some sorta swordsman.

I sure hope nothing happens to the old guy that shot the criminal. It wouldn't shock me if the criminal's family later tries to press charges or something against the old guy for killing the "ninja"

Had I been the old man I'd have aim for the head. One shot, one kill. Anyone asshat who attacks a lady and then chases her back in to her home deserves to be shot and killed. Hate to say it but, f*cker had it comin'; every shot well earned. Even if he wasn't actually carrying a gun, the fact that it looked like one is reason enough to fear for life and respond with like force.
