MAG anyone?

Anyone thinking about getting this, or does anyone know how good it is? I know we're all still into COD MW2, but a 256 real player battle? Might be interesting...

Sorry if this is a repost.

That's 256 players divvied into squads of eight players, with four squads to a platoon and four platoons comprising a company.

Sounds interesting, but I'm waiting for FFXIII

Played in the beta and its really good. Tons of customizing from your weapons to your gear/appearance, a bit more tactical than COD (there's always a mission/objective), a lot more communication in MAG, map in the beta was huge (they all should be pretty big), and when your shooting someone it matters where you shoot them. Arm and leg shots will only hurt them while headshots and chest shots will kill them. Also the health system isn't like COD where you heal in so many seconds, you have a health meter. There's also ammo/health supply spots so you can resupply on ammo and get your health back up. As far as re-spawning, it isn't always on some spot on the ground. At certain times during the match re-spawning will be you parachuting in which was pretty cool. You do rank up be collecting points for kills or completing objectives, and ranking up in MAG actually matters. You can rank up to squad leader or platoon leader (think there's one more) where you'd be in charge of your men and required to guide them through the objective like you would in real world. You also get more points as those kinds of leaders.

I plan on picking it up, just don't have the money right now.

PS3, I'm furious they are releasing it on 360. My buddy who strictly plays his games on 360 and uses his PS3 for blu rays will be buying FFXIII for his PS3.

Purists...

^^Yeah a lot of people are really upset about it going to 360. Some are fan boys so they hate it, but a lot are pissed because SE is dropping the graphic quality quite a bit to release it on 360. However, it has been announced that FFXIV will be PS3 exclusive and is already in the works. Should blow FFXIII out of the water.

Yea I spend way to much time playing MW2, that I don't know if I could take on another FPS game. My gf would probably give me a dirty look if I did

I'm sure I will pick it up eventually though.
