machine shop (for small project) recommendation.
Hi,
I need a recommendation for a machine shop that can make a small part (few inches) from aluminum using an Autocad/Solidworks 2D/3D drawing. It's not complicated and should work as a part of a stepping motor mechanism. Ability to work with metric dimensions is a plus but it's a home DIY project so budget is limited.
Thank you!

How complicated is said part. I know an excellent welder/ok machinist that works out of Meno Park. I don't think his mill is CNC but if its simple enough he could do it by hand.

I believe it's a solid plate with some bends and holes. No welding. I think it should be milled from a single piece of aluminum. It should be quite simple. No high quality surface polishing is required. I can probably post a pic here if that would help.
