.50 cal is not a handheld maching gun. You have to have some kind of mount and it weighs around 100 pounds. The best single assault machine gun is either the M60 or the M240 SAW. Both throw down a lot of rounds and will put a hurt on anything it hits.

I would actually go with the .50 sniper rifle and just take you out from 1.5 miles. By the time they realize where the round came from, Im already set up in my new position.

Oh God... I could go my entire life without looking at another 240.

I qualified with the MG42 as part of getting my Schuetzenschnur with German paras. Awesome weapon with few complicated parts. Barrel change is very fast as well.

I have a few of them on my arm from a 60. Not fun, but better getting a little burn than getting a face full of AK rounds.
