M3 falls off cliff
Damn surprised he understeered so bad, althought it's hard to get a fee for his speed. Kinda surprised the rear end didn't come out with all that steering input. Still would expect hm to wreck there just not so spectacularly understeering.
Step 1 is knowing a road then you can drive brisky and have fun, no need to be cutting yellow lines, taking massive corner entry speed, and going wot down the straights, thats a recipe for disaster.

Got to check the road conditions first before doing a speed run. A little dirt or gravel on the road can quickly ruin you day. I know first hand. A road I drove practically every day, but THAT day, there was gravel from some nearby construction and that was almost game over. If it was a long drive, could have overheated the tires or the tires weren't properly inflated for a speed run, who knows. Lots of things could have affected that besides just driver error, but it sure looks like driver error was a factor there. Anyone can get caught off guard.

Mt Hamilton/Mines rd are always a nightmare. One day will be clear, the next will have dirt and gravel.

He was out of control the whole drive. The BMW nannies, sticky tires, and BMW engineering saved his *** many o times before he finally went past the point of no return.
According to the Youtube description, the driver is fine.
But out in the distance I hear the cries of millions of BMW owners lamenting over their insurance premiums going up.

Looked like the guy in front almost lost it at least once as well - stepping the tail out didn't look intentional. I've rolled with some M3 buddies on loop to coast 9 ->35 -> 84 ->1 -> 92 and back. It was a blast but we didn't try to push it to the limit, just a spirited cruise.

Driver ran out of talent, and luck wasn't able to catch up with all his mistakes. Learn to drive, and hopefully his next M will be more manageable.

At least the guy was aware of the situation and commented appropriately

Jeremy Foley was in a sanctioned race, closed road, full roll cage, experienced driver.
The Bee-em-dubbeldude and his friend were none of that.
