Lost FOBs for 1998 Outback...

So, my cousin has left the country and asked me to sell her car for her. Right before she left she lost both of the keyless entry remotes.

So, I need to know how to disable the alarm on her car. She dropped it off here and I have to move it into my garage asap (so it doesn't get ticketed).

I still have two keys but unlike my car the alarm goes off when I use on one the door lock.

Any ideas?

For my 05 wrx you turn the key from off to on 3 times and the alarm disables.

I had the same trick for a 00 Legacy. It was a pain to do all the time.

Thanks!

So, the three times trick didn't work. In the end I undid the negative terminal, turned the key to On and then reconnected it.

That did it!
