you remember the WAREHOUSE stores? they rented movies and sold CDs and stuff?

they slowly started to close down until all were gone.

anyways, back in the mid 90s or so, i bought this cool sampler CD put out by them.

stuff on it were to demo your sound system. really nice recorded songs.

various artists.

i'm wondering if someone here has one.

i really dont need it. what i need is the name of artist and song of track 1.

i would use that track to demo stuff or when i was buying stereo gear, i would that to listen to the gear...

i cant find mine anymore...

i actually found the jewel case. it's empty...

but the track is by THE RIPPINGTONS and it's called "WEEKEND AT MONACO"...

if the song, did you rip directly from the CD? at what rate?

i just bought 2 versions. one from amazon and then one from itunes. but both were at 258k...

if you have the CD (either the sampler or the album by the rippingtons itself), i wouldnt mind the raw file...
