Looking to explore for new motor oil
Currently I'm using German Castrol 0W-30 and I'm gonna get a UOA on it so I'm looking to venture out try other oils.
I've been looking at Amsoil and they have the Signature series 5w-30 and the European Formula 5w-40. Also Motul 8100 has X-Max 5w-40 and Eco-Clean 5w-30.
Also, vendors feel free to chime in on what you recommend.

Redline or Amsoil - quite simply the best stuff I've ever found.
Honestly, the signature series Amsoil I think are unnecessary for STI's. With our short oil change duration, the extended life oils are a waste of money.
I run on 5W30 Amsoil

DO NOT use a thicker oil
The majority of wear occurs at start-up while the oiling system primes. The thicker the oil, the longer it takes to circulate.
Heavier oils are a holdover from the days of natural base racing oils when they needed a high viscosity to prevent thermal breakdown. True Synthetic oils have a much higher heat tolerance than any natural base racing oil

Rotella T6. There is a big thread on Nasioc about it and its by far the best oil according to all their tests. It all looked like jibberish to me but apparently it holds its viscocity for a very long time or something.
