Jeff, I too am looking for a beater... I'm trying to get my hands on a 96+ Civic Hatch w/ AC + 5 spd, low mileage if possible too. I don't want to be fixing stuff.

I went and test drove this car a couple days ago. I think he could have sold it to me for 2300. Probably would have tried to pick it up but it needs a new clutch right off the bat. Didn't even engage till my foot was 3/4 of the way off the floor haha. Also the steering wheel is crooked when driving straight and it pulls to the left due to alignment or something. I'd suggest stay away from this unless your gonna gut it for a conversion or do your own clutch.

Oh and its funny the second photo of the rear of the car is decieving cause it hides the cracked tail light on the driver side lol.
