wow, never seen personal pics of a red 959 (only stock photos on the Internet). It looks pretty cool, but I'm from the "red only goes on Ferraris" camp.

anyways, I saw a silver 959 going at it w/a red F50 on 280N near Hillsborough/Woodside a few years ago. I had just merged onto the freeway from Black Mtn Road and was about to merge over to the left but saw the red and silver blurs coming up FAST!? I've driven and seen some pretty fast cars on the road in my time, but those two scared the crap outa me...sounded like two fighter jets zooming by! They easily must've been going 150mph++ because I was "going the flow of traffic," and they passed me like I was standing still.

I still have that poster in my garage. I remember getting it from the LA Autoshow way back in the 80's.

I guess I'll show my age. I drooled over that car as a kid. I had a book about that car.

Trip out. I may have seen the same silver 959 on the back of a flat bed truck many years ago going down El Camino in Redwood City near Jefferson Ave. I will always remember that. I was thinking to myself why the hell a 959 wasn't being driven on the roads. I guess there was really a reason for that.
