The last time I got asked for a street race was at the Eggettes meet in south city by the boyfriend of an i-club memeber with an MR2....I politely declined and we talked him into coming down to an AutoX event. He was 6 seconds off the pace and was thouroughly owned. Very amusing.

People who want to street race tend to have very little driving talent.

True story.

Did he actually come out? Or did he just get angry at you for not accepting his challenge?

Umm well since I own both a suby and a powerstroke diesel superduty I assume its cause there's nothin quite like blowing black soot all over the front of a rice burner in an 8000lb truck.

It really does make you laugh huh?

And for the typical ricer civic it always seems to surprise them how that big truck gets up and goes. 13 second diesel pickups are not THAT rare. And that's with basic bolt ons and a chip/programmer. Plenty of 11 and 12 second trucks out there too.

I make 43psi of boost in the truck

No, he came out with his suby girlfriend and raced in his MR2, we all helped him prep his car and get ready. Like I say, he was 6 seconds off the pace on his BEST run.

He's actually a nice guy and his GF is pretty chill, but skilled drivers they are not.

Practice, practice, practice...theres no substitute

No doubt a WRX or STi can take a stock truck. But there are a few out there that will surprise you. And you'd look kinda silly pulling my fifth wheel

I understand your point, you can make anything fast with enough money and effort. Ive just had enough of a**hole truck drivers thinking they own the road....

Always the turbo diesels!! They want you know they have a turbo too!! and they feel the need to show it off, especially if they have 4" exhaust
