Local detailing prices

Let's say you wanted to get a wash, claybar, wax and final polishing. How much would most detailers charge for those services, assuming your paint is in decent condition to begin with.

I use a guy that charges around 100 for exterior only. Wash, claybar, polish, wax.

You're probably looking at $100 on the cheap side, but that doesn't guarantee good work. PM PhoShizzle. He does good work.

That's a pretty good price. Is he a mobile detailer or does he have a shop?

What I would charge depends on the overall shape of the car, how dirty it is. If the car is in great shape and you take care of the car then It takes much less time to wash, clay, and wax. Same goes with interior, I don't have a flat rate I charge, I go buy the each job I do!

The 100 my guy charges me is a stage 1 claybar. If it's bad he will talk to you about any extra charges for extra claybar work.

Could you post your detailing guy's contact info? Or PM it if you like.

BTW, what do you detailing guys think of places that will wax and polish the car's paint WITHOUT a claybar first? Isn't that counterproductive?
