My favorites... hmmm
Del/Hiero - Oakland
Hella - Sac
sub-dh8 - SF/Garden Valley
Mike Patton/Bungle/Tomahawk/etc - SF/Eureka/Alameda
Dan The Automator - SF
Dj Qbert & Company - SF
Jim Yoshi Pileup - Oakland?
Estratosphere - Santa Cruz?
Many many more I can't think of.
I could survive almost exclusively on Norcal music if I had too. 80% of my favorites are from this area.

I think Plans For Revenge/Prop 808 are great. So are Rivals. I play geetar for a band called The Brooding Order.
The name Olympic Year sounds familiar... Back in Oct. the singer in my band said he was trying to get something together with you guys and Fighting Jacks for a show in Dec. Obviously it didn't pan out, or maybe that was just a figment of my imagination.
While I'd like to continue playing shows, the future of my band is up in the air right now. We've been plagued with equipment issues, lack of new songs, lack of consistency when playing old songs, etc. Overall, we've lost a lot of drive. The only thing that keeps us going to practice is preparation for an uncoming show.
Okay, enough ranting... Have a safe and happy new year everyone!

Hmm... well, deftones have been a disappointment to their local fans lately. We will have to wait for the new album to see who is better. dredg hasn't disappointed me yet.
