Night Andre.
Lorry: South will have some action. However, just over by Mt Hamilton a thundercloud just blew into the red zone, i know it's going to be packing bolts up the wazoo... so look ESE, E, and ENE also...

As someone who grew up in the South (and thus saw lightning probably 2-3 times/week in the summer) this thread is amusing to me to see folks go so nuts over simple lightning
Probably would get a really good thread going if lightning bugs suddenly appeared in CA as well
BTW Gagan, since I know you're into the weather stuff you'll probably get a kick out of this website about the Langmuir Lightning research lab. I lived a few years in Socorro NM (near this lab) and went up there a few times.

I took sum video last night myself, but i was impressed with myself when i was able to take a digital picture of lightning (gotta be quick) but of course, like most digi cams, night time pix tun out a bit fuzzy, but it looks cool with the reflection off the water.
Will post pix when i get home, anyone else get any to post?

Low-res crops of my pictures of Mission Peak last night:

Edit: I didn't post these last night because, as someone who grew up around a lot of lightning, I didn't want my PC plugged into the wall until the storm was long gone! (Lost 4 PCs with a single strike once at work in New Mexico.)
My wife, as someone who also grew up around lightning, slept through the whole thing even though our window was open.
