thats an easy answer...we arent that far off from them (last track yes we were but we've run over 1.5 secs faster there last year on similar tires) and 5+ secs faster on slicks but keeping things equal we have been closer to that time they laid down on that weekend. We only carry 4mph less in the straights @ WSIR. we hit 158mph, they hit i believe 162mph. At Fontana we were a few secs back and being thats a HP track we expect that.
Our car has handling issues (being hopefully resolved as we speak). The suspension setup and chassis holds secs if not more, the driver never driven these tracks probably holds some time as well. We are close to them, sometimes more than others...we all fight the same stuff, just in different tiers. If we could afford a suspension engineer track side and the level of support some others have, we would get there that much quicker but the fact of the matter is its just us two guys and it takes longer with less experience and less hands. For those that don't know when you get your car pushing at these levels, you adjust one thing to correct this or that and it effects another thing. Its a constant struggle to keep a homogeneous state, its very challenging in fact. The one major positive thing we have going is our motor package is really being put to the test, not a single failure or any major issues thus far (still on same motor and we've done 4 races, 3 dyno days, and 1 test day).
I'm confident we can do it....just a matter of when? Maybe I'm wrong, and that's ok too.
*and we are not just after the GTR, we are after pushing the development of this car.

the company we had make it for us. they do custom radiators (so companies can market it under there name as there own unique product, which even if you knew the companies name and tried to order our radiator you couldn't, its our design) and when they do that they are not suppose to use there stencil on it + I paid to have our name on it, lol

Ok watched it last night. Definitely liked it as much as the first. I love that it's not just about a bunch of shots of the car cleverly edited together, but rather that those shots are a "vehicle" to support "your" guys' story. I too may be biased though. Either way it was a pleasure to watch.
